Who is going to The Photography Show in Birmingham later this month? Panasonic is promising a significant presence and will have masses of kit for visitors to try out – including all the latest bodies and lenses. It’s the best chance to see everything together in one place and to get your hands on items not always easily found out-of-the-box in stores. Although the deals haven’t been announced yet they are usually pretty generous, and with a collection of retailers on-site you’ll be able to try-and-buy at bargain prices.
Of course, this is also a brilliant opportunity to ask questions and get problems with menus, features and handling sorted out, as there will be a host of Lumix specialists on the Panasonic stand ready to help in any way they can. The team is well prepared and they really know their stuff – tell them I sent you 🙂
Not only is this a chance to try the kit but also to listen and learn from the Lumix ambassadors who will be speaking at the event. The line-up is impressive on all stages at the show, and includes talks from BBC film maker Tania Esteban, pro photographer Emma Drabble, videographer Jim Marks and video and 360° expert Nick Driftwood. Between them they have an incredible amount of knowledge and experience, so tap-in while you can.
Panasonic is also represented on the Super Stage by Pulitzer Prize and World Press Photo Award winning documentary photographer Daniel Berehulak. Now that’s a talk that will be worth going to see!
If you want to book your tickets to the show in advance you can use my discount code to save £3 on the normal adult price. The organisers have said I can share this with Lumix G Experience users as well as members.

I’ll be at the show for the full four days organising the Beginners, Turning Pro and Professional conferences so I’ll be a bit tied up most of the time, but I hope to see some of you there in between times. If you see me please do come and introduce yourself. It’s always great to meet forum people in the flesh – it proves we are all real.
Here’s Panasonic’s official press release about its stand and what’s on.
