I've been looking for Scale Force for the best part of two years......now it's only the largest water fall in the Lake District at 170ft. I can be a bit of a navigational numpty at times. Anyway third time lucky. Its a good hour hike from Buttermere Village and was very boggy due to all the rain. I couldn't access the upper falls as the route up to it had become a waterfall as well and would have been far to dangerous to climb with out a rope and wetsuit....didn't fancy that. So this image is from the lower falls, which was more accessible. Amazingly I had fish a large towel out of the falls...no idea how it got their. Will definitely be back in the summer to get up to the upper falls.
