I hadn't been out for about a month due to the usual winter illnesses, guest coming to visit, work etc. So I was determined to get out at the weekend. It wasn't amazing weather or light but it was just great to be out and the conditions allowed me to play around with some long exposures. At the end of the day it doesn't matter about the shot, it was just great to be out, sat on the shore line looking to the hills having a brew.....not bad.

Just like the photo then! Nice take Tim, good use of foreground rocks and use of ‘thirds’ to split water from hills and sky. As always your shots make me think I need to head to the Lakes!
Thanks for the comments Steve.
A lovely image, Tim. I like the way the elements combine here – pebbles, water, rock, hills – so you are taken from the small to the grand.
Thanks Don, I’m glad you like it.
You mean man flu and all that. A lovely LE image.
Ha Ha, I actually avoided the man flu, it was the rest of the family…I had to be nurse maid. Thanks for the comments.
The long exposure has given the rugged hills and water a gentle and delicate quality; calm and tranquil. Beautiful. James
Thank you James. Much appreciated.
I like that Tim, but am a little unsure about the bottom of the image. I wonder if a 5×4 crop might work? Lovely LE image though.
Simon.
Thanks Simon, yeah I couldn’t really decide on how much of the bottom of the image to keep, but in the end I left it in as I kind of liked the transition. It was one of those images that i knew a shot was in there but trying to get the best out if it was a struggle…if you get me. Thanks for the comments.
