The Derbyshire Peak District has a number of 'Edges' of Millstone Grit giving fine views over nearby valleys, Curbar Edge is one of my favourites. Here you can see partially completed millstones. The industry declined in the later 19th century so incomplete stones were left in situ. You can see these along many of the Edges and in Bole Hill Quarry.
