Fallow deer stag with a beautiful set of antlers. Taken in Knole Park - the deer are used to people and you can get close to them, although they can be quite aggressive if they think you have food. These were eyeing up a woman with a bag - I don't think she realised that they will go after you if there is a chance of food. The problem is too many people feed them even though there are plenty of signs telling you not to.

I bet he’s proud of those antlers Julia, should impress the ladies.
Yes he was a handsome chap Gerry and had quite a harem of ladies! I’m looking forward to seeing his foals.
Foals?…I meant fawns!!!!!
Spot-on focus and creative Dof make the stag pop out from the background and give this shot impact. Nice shot.
Thanks Andy. I’m still getting used to the G7 and was pleased with the way this one turned out.
A handsome beast! I like the way the deer in the background are looking the same way especially the one turning its head. Great focus, too, Julia. I think the 45-175 is an underrated lens despite some initial problems. James
Thanks James – I like the 45-175 as well, although I miss the zoom lever on the G7. It is the one thing I really don’t like – I found it much easier to use than the one on lens itself!
