I bought a macro lens a few months ago, primarily for small product and portrait photography. Tonight, whilst sitting eating cherries with my partner, a moth landed on the cherry she was eating and started to help itself. The moth seemd quite content sitting on the cherry feeding so I thought I'd try the macro lens out on a "bug pic". I set up an off-camera flash in a small softbox and took a few shots, this being the one with the best focus, it's not easy getting the point of focus right when both the camera and the subject are being hand-held! The black background is my partner's dress.
