We've just returned from a wonderful trip to the Lofoton Islands in the north of Norway. Masses of wildflowers and white, sandy beaches are not quite what you expect north of the Arctic Circle. We even saw a few hardy souls going for a swim! The weather wasn't like this for all our trip, we had days when low cloud covered the mountains and some rain but when the sun shone, the landscape and colours were truly amazing.

It certainly is a beautiful vista. 🙂 I was surprised to read it’s ‘up north’, I was expecting warmer climes until I read your description.
It looks amazing Maria. Lovely shot.
Thanks, both of you – it’s certainly a beautiful place and the colours seemed so vivid when the sun shone – I suspect it may be due to lack of pollution up there.
Wish I was there! Lovely shot Maria

Wow!! What a view, wouldn’t mind being there either. Fantastic. Lovely shot.
What a fantastic location and beautifully shot. Must admit I would never have suspected it was in Norway (not that I’ve ever been there) and assumed it was somewhere more exotic.
What an amazing scene. I also thought it was somewhere much further south until I saw the title. Nicely captured.
That looks so inviting Maria. I think we all want to paddle in it.
Thanks for reminding us Maria what blue sky looks like, looks a lot more inviting than it does in the UK! Looks like a lovely place.
