We saw loads of Grasshoppers or crickets in Greece of various colours, shapes and sizes. I've no idea of the variouis species, so any id would be welcome. These little creatures were about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in body length and were very numerous

That’s a really great close up! I initially thought if must have been taken with a macro lens – lots of detail. I can’t say what type of cricket it is but ‘Jiminy’ is a good start… 😉
