Thanks Colin. The RSPB, BTO and other organisations ring birds to provide information about the movement of birds and their lifespan. They’re often ringed while in the nest or caught in nets when older. Each ring has a unique number on and anyone finding a dead bird with a ring should notify the BTO with the number and location.

It’s a lovely shot of this iconic bird. Definitely worthy of being on a Christmas card. I was surprised to hear that both sexes sing, as I always thought it was just the males.
Isn’t he beautiful? I love robins
Thanks Damien, so do I.
