Yes prefer this without the ‘rock’ as in the first submission of this . Excellent Gerald.

And I still stand by my previously stated opinion that ‘the rock’ is an integral part of the image. (even though it appears too square and regular for a rock….possibly concrete?). It only serves to reinforce the old adage about the importance of foreground detail within an image in order to provide the required sense of depth, which ‘the rock’ does admirably in my opinion. Without it, as seen here, the image doesn’t possess the same sense of depth (for me). Still a very good image though, so could be seen as splitting hairs!

Had to go back and forth a few times between both versions of this, but in the end I think I prefer this version as the rock has no sense of size. Both are great pics though 🙂

Many thanks everyone for the feedback and input. Personally I prefer the version with the rock as I think it makes for a more dynamic image (if that makes any sense) but I can appreciate how some people may have a preference for this one. Once again your comments and opinions are very gratefully received
