I like that shot ~ there is a lot of feeling in it; the cloud formation seems to fit in with the tops of the walls and I love those old stones ~ takes me instantly to old ruins of chapels on the Hebrides.

A very powerful image Gerard. It’s kind of ‘we can feel very protected from what is around us, but not from above us’. Well done.

Thanks Eddy, I was in Ferbane for a couple of days, visited Clonmacnoise on Wednesday and took a spin around the Slieve Bloom mountains on Thursday. It’s a nice part of the world. Look forward to seeing what you shoot in Kerry.

Very moody and atmospheric. I love the dark, brooding tones. A super image

It’s great with the new lens and the PP really brings out the detail in the wall. Glad to see someone is keeping Eddy on his toes! 😉

I’m slightly envious Ger. Effective use of your new lens which I had being eyeing up for a while but the near £500 price drove me down an alternative (i.e. cheaper route) to wide angle photography, by adding the £100 Lumix wide angle conversion lens to my arsenal. I will watch your postings with interest to see what I’ve missed out on. Good starter….and very moody mono.

Thanks Barry, Vicky and Andy. I was lucky Andy and found one going second hand in a camera shop in Dublin. Along with a trade in against my Panasonic 14mm it was a lot more affordable.
