A very dramatic sky in this one my kinda thing, so it goes without saying it’s a big like it from me.
Also looks like it was shot with something wider than a 14mm.
Nice shot. Looking at the sky you’d think this was a long exposure shot to capture movement in the clouds, but obviously not the case. Very detailed whispy clouds that seem to be reaching out to you and really drag the eye into the image. Good stuff.
Thanks Eddy & Andy
Eddy:- I have been thinking in getting a wider lens, but i definately don’t have anything wider than 14mm
Andy:- Thanks, this was the bonus shot (of the day), as i had been away all day at a photo shot for a sporting event (That i was asked to cover), took about 1500 shots of mainly blurred athletes running past me covered in mud (a sort of tough mudder event) … with a little success, it was hard going. Then i knew of this place 5 mins up the motorway on the way home (been numerious times before) … was only 5 meters from the car (too tired to contemplate going too far away) ….. and was rewarded with this sky. Did not have time for long exposures (no ND filter with me), as the clouds were moving, even bracked shots were not going to work.
Anyway i was delighted with the end result.
Lovely shot Douglas, brilliant sky.
