I noticed this gentleman and his distinctive style, and amazing camera, outside a major camera store in New York. I think he, like me, had been caught out by their 1pm closing time on Fridays, but I didn't ask him if I could make a portrait of him. Around the corner, we ended up at the same street crossing, so Emma and I said hello and took a few frames. Later, Emma (Drabble, Panasonic Ambassador) found he was a renown street photographer in the city. I wish we had taken time to have a chat with him, he didn't seem to be hurrying, but stupidly, we were. Oh well... The lighting was terrible that day (well, beautiful for being a tourist, really!), but thanks to the great dynamic range of the Lumix sensor, I was able in Photoshop to pull out his face from the deep shadow of his hat. Truly a quality usually expected from dslr sensors, and a marvellous from the smaller m43 sensor.
